Software Useful with BaKoMa TeX

Viewers

• Adobe Acrobat Reader - www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html
  It is recommended for testing PDF files generated by BaKoMa TeX.
• Adobe SVG plugin (for Microsoft Internet Explorer) - www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/main.html
  It is recommended for testing SVG files generated by BaKoMa TeX.
• GhostScript and GhostView - CTAN:support/ghostscript
  It is recommended for testing Postscript files generated by BaKoMa TeX.

Editors

• TeXaide - http://www.mathtype.com/features/taform.stm
  It is good tool for creating and editing mathematical formulas.
• PageDraw - CTAN:graphics/pagedraw
  Simple graphical editor which writes PostScript, which so good for BaKoMa TeX.
• WinEdt CTAN:systems/win32/winedt (SHAREWARE)
  includes collection of free dictionaries compatible with BaKoMa TeX spell checker.
  To use these dictionaries with BaKoMa TeX place required of them to LOCAL\DICT subdirectory of BaKoMa TeX root directory.

Fonts

• Adobe Type Manager - http://www.adobe.com/products/atmlight/main.html
  ATM is high quality font rendering software. It is suitable for fonts coming with BaKoMa TeX.

• MathReader - http://www.wolfram.com/products/mathreader/download.cgi
  It includes TrueType version of Mathematica Fonts (Math1, Math2, ...Math5, Math1Mono ... Math5Mono, etc.)
  BaKoMa TeX is preconfigured to use them. Just install this product to take access to the fonts.
• CM-Super - CTAN:fonts/ps-type1/cm-super
  Installation Details see: Installing CM-Super fonts.

• Hevea - http://facweb.knowlton.ohio-state.edu/pviton/support/winport.html  (Win32 port) or http://hevea.inria.fr (Common).
  It is required Hevea 1.06 or later version (with esponja program). To install Hevea under BaKoMa TeX just install Win32 port of Hevea program into C:\Hevea directory (as explained in winport.html file coming with win32 port of Hevea), and then restart BaKoMa Text Editor. Installation into C:\Hevea directory is reasonable, because BAT files coming with Hevea-Win32 are tuned for this directory. However, if you install Hevea into another directory you must correct `heveadir' variable in [Common] section of TEXMF.INI file in BaKoMa TeX root directory.
• TTH - http://hutchinson.belmont.ma.us/tth or http://venus.pfc.mit.edu/tth
  It is required TTH 3.09 or later version. To install TTH under BaKoMa TeX just copy TTH.EXE into BIN\WIN32 subdirectory of BaKoMa TeX installation directory. We strongly recommend to compile TTH.C file by using Borland C++ compiler, instead of GCC (as recommended in TTH installation guidelines). NOTE: There are some problems with improting an images with TTH. It is much more oriented for running inside WEB server but not in development system.
